On 22 March 2025, the Association of Women in Fashion-Tech (WIFT) embarked on a European Export Familiarization Tour to Finland, where members participated in the African Wedding Fair and Exhibition. The mission was organized to expose Nigerian women fashion entrepreneurs to European markets, promote Made-in-Nigeria fashion products, and create international business and export opportunities.
During the exhibition, WIFT members showcased African fashion, connected with buyers, the African diaspora, and industry stakeholders, while gaining practical insights into European consumer preferences, quality standards, branding, and export requirements. The tour strengthened WIFT’s commitment to expanding global market access, promoting sustainable fashion, and positioning women-led fashion businesses to compete successfully in international markets.
