Smart Income Tracking & Cash Discipline

On 22 August 2025, the Association of Women in Fashion-Tech (WIFT) officially opened the WIFT Garment Innovation and Sustainable Production Hub in Lagos, Nigeria. The Hub was inaugurated by Mrs. Beatrice Eyong, UN Women Country Representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS, in recognition of WIFT’s contributions to women’s economic empowerment and sustainable industrial development.

The Garment Innovation and Sustainable Production Hub was established to serve as a center for skills development, fashion technology, mass garment production, and export readiness for women and youth across Africa. The facility provides access to modern production equipment, training programmes, and innovation opportunities designed to strengthen the competitiveness of women-led fashion enterprises.

The inauguration, which followed the successful Afro-EU Garment Innovation and Sustainability Summit, brought together development partners, government representatives, industry leaders, and fashion entrepreneurs to celebrate a shared vision for a more inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive garment industry.

The opening of the Hub marks a significant milestone in WIFT’s journey to drive garment industrialization, create employment opportunities, and position Nigeria as a leading center for sustainable fashion and garment manufacturing in Africa.
