The African Descendants in Diaspora Union (AFRIDU-Nigeria) and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), in collaboration with the Nigerian Presidency, are excited to announce a historic gathering that will celebrate the shared heritage of African descendants across the globe. This Homecoming & Presidential Reception of African Descendants in Diaspora event is set to honor the legacy of the “6th Region” – a collective term for the African diaspora, representing our shared history, achievements, and vision for the future.

Honoring the African Twelve Apostles/Liberators

A focal point of this event is a tribute to the African Twelve Apostles/Liberators – iconic African leaders who have made remarkable contributions to the continent’s liberation and development. An exclusive overview and presentation of a book dedicated to these revered figures will be given by Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, will officially launch the book.

This homecoming event is more than just a gathering; it’s a celebration of unity, resilience, and the enduring connection between the African continent and its descendants worldwide.
